The Signature Tool
Where can your welcome bonus take you?
A welcome bonus is the most consequential financial event of opening a credit card. Used well, it underwrites a trip you would otherwise pay for in cash. Pick a destination — we'll match it to the card whose bonus covers it.
The Signature Tool
Where can your welcome bonus take you?
Pick a region. We'll show you the destinations where a welcome bonus alone can cover the round trip.
How this works
The math behind the recommendation.
We start with the trip.
Every destination in our catalog has an estimated points cost for round-trip economy. The numbers come from current award charts — United, Air France, Hyatt — cross-referenced against typical transfer-partner redemptions. They are not promises. Award space moves. But they are honest estimates, refreshed quarterly.
We match the smallest qualifying bonus.
If three cards in our catalog could cover the trip, we recommend the one whose welcome bonus is smallest while still being enough. A 300,000-point card is not the right answer for a 45,000-point trip — it's overkill. The right card is the one that does the job.
We show our work.
Every recommendation shows you the bonus amount, the trip cost, and what's left over. We don't hide the math. If our pick doesn't feel right for you, the numbers are there for you to evaluate yourself — or speak with us directly.
If none of these fit
Your trip might be the one we haven't mapped yet.
We're happy to discuss specific destinations, mixed-cabin redemptions, family travel, or anything more complicated than a single round-trip. The tool is the starting point. The conversation is where the real strategy happens.
