Benefits page rewritten with weaker protections; Guide to Benefits unchanged (unconfirmed)

6-hr delay / $10,000 purchase protection (per guide)12-hr / $500 (per marketing page; unconfirmed)

On August 24, 2026, Traveling For Miles reported that the Ritz-Carlton card's public benefits page no longer matches its Guide to Benefits, with every difference unfavorable: trip delay coverage shown as 12 hours instead of six, purchase protection as $500 per item instead of $10,000, and trip cancellation and emergency evacuation coverage absent entirely. The current Guide to Benefits (dated June 11, 2026) still reflects the stronger terms, no cardholder notices have been reported, and Chase has not confirmed whether the change is real or a page error — a pattern seen twice before on Chase web pages in 2025–26. Claims are governed by the Guide, not the marketing page.

What to do: Download and save the current dated Guide to Benefits today; a webpage edit alone doesn't change coverage — watch for a formal benefit-change notice.
