Cash back redemption rate cut from 1 cent to 0.75 cents per point

$100 per 10,000 points → $75 per 10,000 points

Effective August 24, 2025, redeeming ThankYou Points for cash (statement credit or check) from the Citi Strata Premier and the discontinued Citi Prestige returns $75 per 10,000 points instead of $100, a 25% reduction. Citi notified cardholders by email beginning May 19, 2025. Citi confirmed a workaround: cardholders who also hold a Citi Double Cash or Custom Cash card linked to the same ThankYou account continue to cash out at 1 cent per point. Transfers to airline and hotel partners were unaffected by this change.

What to do: If you cash out ThankYou points, hold a linked Double Cash or Custom Cash, which preserves the 1-cent rate.
