Fixed portal redemption multipliers replaced by base 1 cent per point plus selective Points Boost

As part of the Sapphire Reserve and related card refresh, the previous fixed travel-portal values (1.25 cents for Sapphire Preferred / Ink Business Preferred; 1.5 cents for Sapphire Reserve) were replaced. Non-boosted Chase Travel redemptions now redeem at a flat 1 cent per point. Points Boost offers selective higher values (up to 1.75–2 cents) on certain flights and hotels. Existing cardholders retained prior rates on points earned before October 26, 2025 through October 26, 2027.

What to do: Prefer partner transfers over portal redemptions unless a strong Points Boost is available.
