2025 annual category changes move 118 hotels up and 33 down
Effective 8:00 a.m. CT on March 25, 2025, World of Hyatt adjusted award categories for 151 hotels in its annual review, announced February 25, 2025. 118 properties moved to a higher category and 33 moved lower, a 78/22 split; the United States was the most affected region with 61 increases and 13 decreases. Point requirements per category did not change, and no new categories were added. Bookings made before the cutoff kept prior pricing, while any later modification repriced at the new level; members with existing bookings at hotels moving down received the point difference automatically. This was the last annual category shuffle under the three-tier chart before the five-tier structure introduced in May 2026.
