Lounge access removed on entirely domestic itineraries

Effective September 1, 2026, Aeromexico elite status and premium-cabin tickets no longer grant Salón Premier lounge access on itineraries that are entirely within Mexico. Access on domestic-only trips now requires an Aeromexico co-branded credit card or a paid day pass. Itineraries that include an international connection still qualify for access. The change was communicated directly to members; whether SkyTeam Elite Plus members from partner airlines are affected was not specified in the notice.

What to do: Domestic-only Aeromexico flyers who rely on lounge access: the co-brand card becomes the only free path in from September 1.
