Published award charts removed
In early February 2015, shortly after the launch of its new five-tier award structure and revenue-based earning, Delta removed its published award charts from its website. Members could no longer see fixed minimum or maximum mileage requirements by region and cabin; prices were visible only via the award search calendar. The removal eliminated transparency and made future increases harder to track in real time. Delta stated the calendar provided a more accurate view of availability and pricing.
What to do: Once charts disappear, assume ongoing quiet upward pressure on prices; redeem while residual fixed levels remain visible.
