In mid-August 2026 (date approximate; documented August 16), British Airways quietly split its earning chart for Japan Airlines-marketed flights: the full published rates now apply only when the flight is operated by Japan Airlines, British Airways, or Iberia, while JL-coded flights operated by any other carrier earn sharply less — business class drops from 250% to 125% of miles flown, discounted business from 150% to 70%, flexible premium economy from 150% to 100%, and first class from 300% to 150%, per LoyaltyLobby. The updated chart was posted under the pre-existing effective dates of April 1, 2025 and April 1, 2021 with no indication anything had changed, making the cut effectively retroactive in presentation. The British Airways Club receives 1:1 transfers from Chase, American Express, Capital One, and Bilt, and is a common program for US members crediting oneworld flights.
