Domestic partner awards rise 50%; Hawaii moved to separate chart up to 167% higher

On December 3, 2025, without advance notice, Turkish Airlines raised Miles&Smiles award prices for direct same-country flights on Star Alliance and other partner airlines. One-way domestic partner awards rose from 10,000/15,000/20,000 miles (economy/business/first) to 15,000/22,500/30,000. US mainland–Hawaii flights, previously priced as ordinary domestic awards, moved to a separate chart at 25,000/40,000/50,000 — an increase of up to 167%. This eliminated one of the best remaining uses of the program: cheap United awards within the US and to Hawaii. Miles&Smiles receives transfers from Citi, Capital One, and Bilt at 1:1.

What to do: Turkish miles now make sense mainly for Turkish-operated flights; compare against other Star Alliance programs before transferring.
