FedEx removed from Business Gold $20 monthly Flexible Business Credit
FedEx, Grubhub, office supply stores → Grubhub, office supply stores
American Express is removing FedEx as an eligible merchant for the Business Gold card's Flexible Business Credit, which pays up to $20 per month (up to $240 per year) in statement credits. Amex's card page now states that FedEx purchases qualify only through October 1, 2026; from October 2 the credit can be used only at Grubhub and U.S. office supply stores. The change first appeared in cardholder terms on April 2, 2026, was briefly retracted as an error, and was confirmed by an Amex spokesperson in May 2026. Amex has not said whether another merchant will replace FedEx, and the $240 annual cap is unchanged.
What to do: If FedEx was your monthly trigger, make an October 1 purchase for the final credit and switch to office supply stores or Grubhub afterward.
