Qatar Privilege Club (receives 1:1 transfers from Amex Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou, Capital One, and others) quietly raised distance-based rates for American Airlines and Alaska Airlines flights of 3,000 miles or less with no notice. Long-haul AA/AS and other partners were unaffected. This eliminated a major US domestic/short-haul sweet spot for US transferable points holders.

What to do: Compare BA/Iberia/Finnair Avios or other programs for remaining short-haul AA/AS space.
