As part of the Hilton Honors 2026 refresh announced November 18, 2025, Hilton eliminated elite rollover nights effective January 1, 2026. Qualifying nights earned beyond a member's tier threshold had previously carried over to the following year's status qualification; rollover nights accumulated in 2025 still count toward 2026 status, but nights earned in 2026 will not roll into 2027, and every year now starts at zero. The removal came alongside lowered qualification thresholds for Gold (25 nights, down from 40) and Diamond (50 nights, down from 60), which partially offsets the loss for many members. Hilton stated the benefit was rarely used and not well understood.

What to do: Members who banked large rollover balances should use the 2025-earned nights toward 2026 status; after that, plan each qualification year standalone. Status: draft
