Emirates award chart raised 10–30%, premium cabins hit hardest

For bookings made on or after March 31, 2026 (announced January 2026), Qantas Frequent Flyer raised its Classic Flight Reward chart for travel on Emirates across markets and cabins, with increases generally in the 10–30% range and premium cabins hit hardest; first class rose roughly 20%, with Melbourne–Frankfurt climbing from about 249,400 to 299,300 points one-way. Economy pricing was least affected, and business rates were adjusted to align more closely with Qantas' other distance-based partner pricing. This came less than a year after the program's August 2025 across-the-board Classic Reward increase. Qantas Frequent Flyer receives 1:1 transfers from American Express, Citi, and Capital One, and Emirates' extensive US network had made this a workable route into Emirates premium cabins for US members.

What to do: Compare Qantas and Skywards pricing plus surcharges before transferring for Emirates awards; economy remains the least affected cabin.
