Points Club / Points Club Plus / Green Tier + Loyalty Bonus → Tiers retired; single higher requalification targets with status-credit rollover

Announced in August 2026 and effective December 8, 2026, Qantas is retiring Points Club, Points Club Plus, and Green Tier, and ending the Loyalty Bonus, as part of a broader Frequent Flyer overhaul. From 2027, status requalification moves to single higher targets, partially offset by a new status-credit rollover. The changes primarily affect status earners rather than award pricing; US members who transfer points to Qantas from Capital One or U.S. Bank are unaffected on redemptions but lose the retired membership tiers' perks if they held them.

What to do: If you hold a retiring tier, use its perks before December 8; award pricing is unchanged for transferred points.
