Points earning cut in half at Homewood Suites and Spark brands
10 points per $1 → 5 points per $1
Effective for stays booked on or after January 8, 2026, Hilton Honors members earn 5 base points per US dollar at Homewood Suites and Spark by Hilton, down from 10 — a 50% cut that aligns the two brands with Home2 Suites and Tru. Reservations booked before the cutoff continue to earn the old rate, and elite tier bonuses and elite night credits are unchanged. Because Hilton's dynamic award pricing does not discount redemptions at these brands correspondingly, members who stay there accumulate points roughly half as fast toward similarly priced awards. The change was disclosed as part of the Hilton Honors 2026 program refresh announced in November 2025.
What to do: Extended-stay guests at these brands should lean on a Hilton co-branded card, which still earns full card multipliers on the spend.
